1. BODABODA SALAMA
"Bodaboda Salama" is an impactful initiative focused on promoting road safety specifically for commercial motorcycle riders. The project is designed to raise awareness about the critical safety practices needed to navigate the roads more safely. Through informative workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns, we aim to educate riders on defensive driving techniques, proper use of safety gear, and the importance of adherence to traffic regulations. By emphasizing knowledge and best practices, "Bodaboda Salama" seeks to empower motorcycle riders with the information they need to reduce accidents and enhance their overall safety on the roads.

2. TREE NURSERIES
We believe planting trees are action of hope and love for our mother nature, for this and coming generations.
Tanzania is experiencing deforestation loosing approximately 469,000 hectares of forest each year. Through creation of trees nurseries, and tree planting education, we contribute to mitigation the impact of climate change. HUDEFO has established tree nurseries in Mbezi, Bagamoyo, kigamboni and Ubungo. In our tree planting efforts, we cooperate in particular with primary and secondary schools in Tanzania, private sectors, religious institution, development partners, universities etc.
We have established Mangrove nurseries in Kigamboni and Lindi which help in the conservation activities in the coastal areas.

3. ELDERS DAY OUT
Every 1st October each year we are celebrating Elders Day. In Tanzania elderly population which is around 2.7 million often relies on informal support systems due to inadequate formal social system, but elders especial women are particular vulnerable.
This humanitarian elder’s platform helps to make make elders inclusive through different activities such as games, visiting national parks, storytelling eating together, go to museums, with the goal of making them relax, be happy, promote physical and mental wellness as well as to recognise their contributions to the community.

4. LET'STALK
Let's talk is an initiative to engage teens from 12-18 years in the community to talk together, to find solutions for their problems, provide mentorship and enjoy together. This initiative helps us to identify needs for the teens and plan impactful capacity building session.
Teens group are normally forgotten and left behind which cause a lot of social evils to this group, through this initiative we want to engage them and share challenges and opportunities together.
